Interest in poker has been steadily rising especially in the last 10 years. The most popular type of
the card game is No Limit Texas Holdem. In this variant every player gets two cards from a
standard 52-card deck. Combined with five community cards, wich all players can see, each
player builds a hand. The best hand wins the pot. Unlike chess and other games, this poker variant
is a game of imperfect information: none of the players know the opponents cards. This makes it
highly interesting for artificial intelligent systems.
The goal of this thesis is to implement a poker software, where you as a human can play versus one
AI computer player. The AI should adapt his style of play according to the actions the human player
makes. The programming language Java is used to implement the program.
